May 14th 2008 our twins were born

The wonderful day we have all been waiting for came on the 14 of May 2008. Two healthy twins were born to Jenn and Tyson. To top it all off Jenn did very well also. All are healthy and strong. Carson weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and Adison weighed 6 lbs 8 oz. Becky wasted no time in leaving me and Tyler. She and Chelsea drove down on Monday morning and was there to see the wonderful gifts. The pictures are some that Chelsea took. To see more go to Tyson and Jenn's blog. I can't believe how fast our family is growing. Casey and Becky is next in August. Wow is this fun. We love being grandparents.

May 4, 2008 I was sustained, ordained and set apart as Bishop

I was called and set apart as the Bishop of the Orem Utah Lakeview 7th ward on Sunday May 4th 2008. It has now been two weeks and for me a testimony that the mantel placed upon my shoulders is real. In no way did I ever imagine that this could happen until about a month earlier when our Bishop Vogel was called into the Stake Presidency. I began to panic a little and then came a calm feeling. after I was called and set apart this calm has remained with me. The spirit has been strong in the few interviews that I have had and I know that the Lord is using this weak individual to direct his work. I Love the Lord with all my heart, I know that God Lives and Jesus is the Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and that we have a Prophet today in President Monson. I do feel inadequate but have faith that the Lord will fill that area up with inspiration and guidance. I know that Becky is my best supporter and I love her for that. So here we go.

Becky to Morocco

In the first of April Becky had a chance to go with the Share a Smile foundation to Morocco and do humanitarian service for 10 days. There was a group of approximately 30 people, Dentists, Nurses, Dermatologist, Eye surgeons. All donating their time and money to help the people there. Becky work the majority of the time with the dental team and said it wasn't easy but rewarding. She developed lasting friendships that will always be there. She returned with a new insight to what it is like in a third world country. Here are a couple of her pictures.

Spring Break At Goblin Valley

Once again we had a great time at Goblin Valley. We have been doing this for more than 10 years now and still have fun. I was without Becky this year and Tyler brought 2 friends and Chelsea had Colby and two other friends. So I spent most of my time keeping the trailer in order and providing food for the gang. Boy I miss Becky. We had a great time and look forward to next year. A few pictures for your enjoyment.

While Becky was gone

Becky has had a wonderful experience going with share a smile foundation to Morocco. She will tell us all about it when she returns on the 21st of April. While she is gone the following has taken place. She left Thursday at 5:30 AM and at 9:00 the work began and finished today the 15th. hope she will be surprised.
